Raipur : Chhattisgarh Government’s Gift to State Employees

Dearness Allowance Increased to 53%

Raipur Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai’s Government has lived up to the promise of raising the dearness allowance (DA) for state government employees to 53%, delivering a festive gift to lakhs of employees ahead of Holi. It is noteworthy that Chhattisgarh’s Finance Minister, Shri O.P. Choudhary, had announced this hike while presenting the annual budget for 2025-26 in the Vidhan Sabha on March 3. In accordance with this announcement, the Finance Department has now issued the official order implementing the hike in DA.

As per the issued directive, the DA for state government employees has been increased by 3%, bringing it to 53%. Employees under the Seventh Pay Commission will receive a 3% hike, raising their DA to 53%, while those under the Sixth Pay Commission will see a 7% increase, taking their DA to 246%.

This revision will be effective from March 1, 2025, and the revised DA will be disbursed along with the March salary, payable in April 2025.
