This approval, directed by the National Medical Commission (NMC), will facilitate the commencement of the course in the ongoing academic session, marking a milestone in cancer care education in Chhattisgarh.

Dr. Arvind Nerel, Chairman of the NMC Cell at the college, explained that the application for the course was initially submitted last year but faced delays due to certain deficiencies. After addressing these issues and appealing twice for reconsideration, the college administration received a favorable response from the NMC. Dr. Gupta was personally sent to New Delhi for a comprehensive evaluation of the college’s facilities, staff, infrastructure, and available resources. The review, which met with positive feedback, led to the NMC’s final approval.
